The room parent can play an important role in the classroom. They are a communication link between the teachers, other classroom parents and our parent group “Village Connection”.

Some of the things that room parents might be called upon to do include:

• Assist Village Connection with school events. This could include making phone calls to families in your child’s classroom.
• Assist teachers with activities.

Room parents enhance the bonds between parents, teachers and children. Each class will utilize their room parent’s skills a little differently. This is a great way to get to know all the families.
